Monitoring and reporting under Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of

Regional project, coordinated by BGRF.

The project was initiated and supported by the Danish Centre for Human Rights. The producing of the reports and the publication were made possible thanks to the financial support of the Programme FRESTA of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The publication “Implementation of the CEDAW - a compilation of NGO reports” is under preparation. It includes the national reports and recommendations to the National Governments of all the countries from South Eastern Europe, which took part in this initiative:

  • Albania
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Macedonia
  • Montenegro
  • Serbia

    • The regional report and the Bulgarian national report in the publication is prepared by BGRF.
    The main topics in the reports are: 

  • Women and health
  • Women and violence
  • Women and poverty
  • Women and education
  • Women and employment
  • Women and political participation, etc

    •  Each national report contains:

  • Comments on the implementation of selected articles of CEDAW
  • Research and statistical data
  • Legislation and policy review
  • Recommendations

    •  The reports will be presented to the UN CEDAW Committee session in 2003.
