Aims of the project:
- To create a working scheme for cooperation between the civil society and the police when providing legal aid to women – victims of gender based crimes – domestic violence, trafficking in women, sexual harassment at the work place, rape and lechery;
- To work in cooperation for changing the legislation in order to better protect women-victims of gender based crimes (Draft law for protection against domestic violence, Criminal Code, Low on Police).
Expected results:
- Raising the awareness of the Police on the issues of violence against women and gender based discrimination;
- Enhancing the existing scheme for legal aid of women – victims of violence with the support of the police;
- Increasing the access to legal aid and justice of women – victims of gender based crimes;
- Strengthening the role of civil society and police in the process of introducing legislative changes and providing legal aid to victims of violent crimes.
