BGRF is partner organization in a research project “Naming, Blaming and Framing Economic Violence against Women in Intimate Relationships” supported by Europe Aid. The leading organization is Croatian NGO, based in Zagreb “Be Active Be Emancipated” (Ba.Be). The other partners are European Movement in Serbia, (Belgrade, Serbia) Rights for all, (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Safety House (Podgorica, Montenegro).
The main goal of the project is to analyze the extent of form of economic violence in five different countries in the Balkan region. Comparative analyses will be developed based on research of legal framework, focus groups, in-depth interviews with women from targeted countries.
The project envisages establishing a long term collaboration of expert CSOs engaged in prevention and eradication of economic violence against women and also to facilitate women and institutions recognize different forms of economic violence and implement effective legislative and policy measures of sanctions, prevention and protection.
Two partnership meetings in Zagreb and Sarajevo were conducted in the past four months and the forthcoming event will be in Podgorica.
